What We Do
Becoming a Community... there are many ways to connect.
Reaching a Community... there are many ways to serve.
-
Adults
We believe that new life in Christ creates community with God and God’s family, the local church. They are intertwining realities that involve both: Intentionally deepening our communion with God through time in God’s word and prayer, private and public worship, AND; Intentionally deepening our communion with one another by imbedding our lives in relationship with a particular community of believers. See the image of the church as a temple (I Peter 2:4-8) and a body (Ephesians 4:1-6; John 17:20-23)

Children
We will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the LORD, His power and the wonders He has done. He decreed statues for Jacob and established the law in Israel, which He commanded our ancestors to teach their children, so the next generation would know them, even the children yet to be born, and they in turn would tell their children. Then they would put their trust in God and would not forget His deeds but would keep His commands. Psalm 78:4-7

Lay Counseling
People of all ages are deeply affected by life’s challenges. Maybe you have felt that you have no place to go with your questions or hurts. Our lay counseling ministry offers you a safe and loving place to go with your struggles. Trained to provide support through a biblical foundation, our lay counselors will meet you no matter where you are and walk alongside you in journey. Meeting with our counselors will feel like having coffee with a good friend who listens, offers compassion and challenges you with hard questions. We believe that it is in relationship with each other that we can experience the transformational change that is possible in Jesus Christ.
“Do not conform any longer to the patterns of this world, but
be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” Romans 12:2.

Mercy
God in his love has shown great mercy to us though we have not deserved it. Therefore, we desire justice and mercy and to show the love of Christ to those who are in need.
Our ministries of mercy are lead by our faithful deacons who support and advocate for those in need within our fellowship as well as outside of our church.
My Brother's Pantry: A local food bank on the Broadneck Peninsula. We take turns with neighbor churches collecting and distributing food to the needy.
