  • Brian March

    Senior Pastor

My wife and I have lived many places (California, Texas, Georgia, Florida, Uganda, and Ethiopia just to name a few). We met in Florida and we go together like peas and carrots (it’s a Forrest Gump line). We have three small children and a dog name Olive - three of them are allowed to use the bathroom inside but I won’t tell you who. I am a graduate of Carson-Newman University and received an MDiv from Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando, When I’m not meeting with people or sipping coffee with a friend, you can find me with my nose in a book or on the basketball court… not dunking. Reading, and in particular, books on theology, is very important to me because I believe when used appropriately, the teaching in these books can enable the people of God to love Him and enjoy Him better. I revel in the thought of making the deep truths of God accessible to every Christian in a way that enhances their personal walk with Christ. So whether you’ve been a Christian for a very long time, or maybe you’re just checking things out, come find me and let’s have a chat.

Assistant Pastor (Director of Student Ministries)

My wife, Amy, and I met and became friends while attending and working with the youth at the church where we grew up in Montgomery County, MD. We enjoy being outside (hiking, biking, camping, and the like), food, and just hanging out with people. I graduated from Geneva College, outside of Pittsburgh, with a degree in civil engineering. A civil engineering degree trained me to do several things…pastoral ministry was not one of them. So I attended Reformed Theological Seminary in McLean, VA where I received an MDiv. After seminary I served as an assistant pastor northeast of Philadelphia. I enjoy reading and, like Brian, reading theology. The gospel of Jesus Christ is awesome and being able to know Christ is the greatest privilege someone can possess. For me, being able to teach and preach Jesus Christ and pastor his people is the greatest job to be had.

  • heather dETERDING

    Children's Director

    Part-Time Ministry Staff

I grew up in a family with parents who love to serve God and His church, especially in ministries to children. I met my husband Steve at our denomination's beloved middle school camp, Victory Jam, where we were youth interns-- he was with BEP and I was with another local congregation. We both attended Grove City College, where I earned a degree in Elementary Education. After I graduated in December 2005, I married Steve and joined him at BEP. We have five wonderful daughters who are as fun and as different as can be! We love gathering people together at our home and we love being a part of this church family. I've been on the Children's Ministry Team since 2008, alongside many wonderful ministry coordinators and teachers. As we partner with parents in making disciples of the next generation, it is my prayer that our kids would grow in their knowledge and love of God, see themselves as important and loved members of the body of Christ, and share the good news of the gospel with others. It is a privilege to encourage and equip young families to abide in Christ and make Him the center of their lives and homes.

  • Josh Sroka

    A/V Director

    Part-Time Ministry Staff

A life-long resident of the Broadneck Peninsula, Josh is a loyal supporter of both the Orioles and the Ravens. He and his wife Mandy have three sweet girls, Emma, Brooke and Camden.

  • Dan Bajus

    Business Manager

    Part-Time Staff

Dan has lived in Annapolis since high school, he played lacrosse for Vanderbilt and has coached for years. He and his wife Stacy have four daughters.  He is one of our church leaders, using his business experience to help shepherd the logistics of the church office and staff.

  • Courtney Della

    Office Manager & Ministry Support

I proudly hail from West Virginia and happily call the Broadneck Peninsula home. My husband, Brian, and I came to BEP for the Christ-centered youth ministry in 2001. Our youngest daughter attends West Virginia University, our oldest daughter is pursuing her RN, and our son and daughter-in-love are happy newlyweds in South Dakota.

Serving others for God is in BEP's "DNA." The Lord has blessed us abundantly with our family here at BEP and I enjoy serving at the “kitchen table” here in the office.

  • Tanya Mcgrath

    Administrative Assistant & Care Coordinator

My husband, Pat and I live in Annapolis, MD. We have one son, two daughters and one granddaughter. I am originally from New Jersey and met my husband in Annapolis. We have attended BEP for several years, and have found it a very warm and welcoming place to worship. I enjoy painting, running, singing on the worship team and spending time with family and friends. I consider it a blessing and a privilege to serve in the BEP office. It is wonderful to witness God working in and through the body of Christ here throughout the week.

  • Susan Jaenke

    Administrative Assistant

    Part-Time Staff

My husband, Paul, and I have been married 31 years. We met while volunteering as Young Life leaders while we were engineering students at the University of Virginia. We have lived in the same house in Arnold for 30 years and love the Annapolis area. We love to go boating on the bay and travel. I have been a stay-at-home mom for the last 25 years to three sons, Stephen, Ryan, and Connor. We started attending BEP because of the great youth program. Over the years, I have taught Sunday school, led Sunday morning worship music, been on the Youth Ministry Team and the Financial Ministry Team. I am currently serving on the Women2Women steering committee. I love numbers!
